The RangeDisparityMeter Indicator is a powerful tool designed to provide real-time insights into the price movement within a trading session. This indicator offers traders a dynamic view of the current session's price range and compares it to historical data, enabling more informed trading decisions.
**Key Features:**
1. **Real-time Range Monitoring:** The indicator continuously tracks the development of the trading session's price range as it unfolds, allowing traders to stay on top of price movements as they happen.
2. **Historical Range Comparison:** Gain a competitive edge by comparing the current session's range to historical averages. This valuable perspective helps traders identify potential overbought or oversold conditions and assess the significance of price movements.
3. **Visual Clarity:** The Session Range Tracker Indicator presents information in a clear and intuitive visual format, making it easy for traders to spot trends and anomalies at a glance.
4. **Customizable Parameters:** Tailor the indicator to your specific trading strategy with customizable parameters, such as the look-back period for historical range comparisons, reset the range meter at various intervals and visual style preferences.
**How It Works:**
The RangeDisparityMeter Indicator calculates the price range within the current trading session (Yellow Hash Line) and overlays it with historical range data (Gray Bar Graph). By doing so, it provides a visual representation of whether the session's price movements are within the expected norm or deviating from it. This information can be instrumental in identifying potential trading opportunities and risk management.

This indicator displays Time and Sales on charts and allows to show bid/ask trade sizes as a histogram. You can only see the histogram of a current bar. Feel free to make any changes to the code.
Setup menu:
Histogram Length Factor - lets you change the length of a histogram. You can increase/decrease this number to chose the most appropriate length of a histogram. Move Left/Right histogram Ask - by putting in a negative or positive number, you can shift the ask histogram to the left or to the right in relation to the current bar. Move Left/Right histogram Bid - by putting in a negative or positive number, you can shift the bid histogram to the left or to the right in relation to the current bar. Vol Lower - volume trades size "Small". Vol Upper - volume trades size "Large" (All the trades in between are "Medium").
For example: Vol Lower = 5 (Small = 1-5) Vol Upper = 25 (Medium = 6-25/Large = 26 and more)
This is identical to the above indicator posted very recently except for the optimization that makes it load and run much faster. Was edited in NT7 but should also work in NT6.5... delete the info.xml file from the installer before importing into 6.5
There is a compiler switch that will set calculate on bar close = false if using NT7.
Again thanks to Richard of MoveTheMarkets.com for his valuable posts on Ninjacator optimization.
10/19 - Fixed a date/time formatting issue with non-"en-US" cultures.
10/29 - A got a lot of requests to provide a background and border so that the candles and other indicators didn't overlay the text. If you would like this version it can be found here: https://www.johnthom.com/2009/10/economic-news-indicator.html
The upper plot is the total number of shares or contracts offered for sale in the Level 2 order book. The lower plot is the total number of shares or contracts bid to buy in the Level 2 Order Book. The yellow plot is the bids minus the offers.
Maxrows is the user setting that controls how many rows of the order book are counted. In panel 2 we have the totals for all ten of the bid and all ten of the ask rows. In panel 3, with Maxrows set at 5, we see the totals for the 5 inside rows of bid and ask.
This will work in realtime or market replay mode. Changing any chart settings deletes existing plots, and there is no backfill. This limitation is because of the way Ninjatrader stores data. I started working on a DOMRecorder indicator to correct this. May take a while.
Thanks ZTrade for the idea of this indicator, and for the original implementation which worked fine in NT6.5 but had problems because of undocumented changes in NT7.
Plot markers at round numbers above and below the market. User may also specify a list of number levels to mark, by using the 'Numbers ending with' parameter, i.e. "00, 25, 50" will mark all prices ending with those digits
gbAwesomeOscTimer, Ver 1.0, TraderGB, April 7, 2021 [Updated to Ver 1.1]
Description: This is Bill Williams' Awesome Oscillator with optional vertical line increments. This was requested by @stljb on one of the forums. It's basically a MACD using simple moving averages on the Median data point. The period for the fast and slow averages is 5 and 34, respectively, but can be changed. A signal line is included which can be either a SMA or EMA.
The vertical line markers have four options: PricePanelOnly, OscillatorPanelOnly, BothPanels, and DoNotDisplay. If set, these lines will be drawn ever N bars (default = 10). The lines have a option to limit the number of lines going back.
Updates:
04-19-2021 (Ver 1.1): Disabled AutoWidth on Oscillator bar. Fixed bar and plot width settings.

April 5th, 2011 07:08 AM TimC UGH! Beware! I installed this indicator in NT7 and have yet to get my NT back to normal. Indicator screen takes FOREVER
to load, if at all. Many restarts. I've deleted all files for this indicator from NT but it seems the damage is done. Ma

March 20th, 2011 12:25 AM Aragorn I used it on Ninja 6.5 but when I switched to 7.0 I found that it tool an enormous amount of time to load a chart- sever
al minutes. I never suspected a ninjascript so I did everything- uninstalled and reinstalled Ninja; downloaded data from
Mirus; used very small charts to load; I even went so far as to question my Windows update so I restarted my computer f
rom a previous start point wiping out all new updates. Nothing helped. Slow Slow Slow. I contacted Ninja Support and I w
ent step by step reinstalling the application. As it turns out it was this ninjascript and I didn't even have it on any
of my charts or the chart I was loading. It was just in the list of indicators. I liked it when I had it on 6.5 but don'
t think I can use it on 7.0.

November 13th, 2019 07:21 PM OpalDragon Great Bars from Great Guy
I still use other bars... Reversal Bars, Simple Minute Bars, ROE BARS from Trade The Plan and Volume Bars....
and these are a good classic if you want to really test something with just RANGE as a Variable.
