Hi to all in Big Mike's Trading Forum,
I am really happy to absorb all the information you have available on this forum. I'm here to educate myself and hope like minded people can take me by the hand and filter me through a lot of the noise.
I was introduced to Futures over 5 years ago, but left it after a year of that due to other issues. It opened my mind to the wonders, once mastered to create a career anywhere in the world in these volatile times.
I still have an itch for Trading. It kills me that I don’t have the money to purchase all the wonderful charting software and indicators with rental data-feeds and open up a six figure brokerage account.
Avidly reading books only since then, I'm trying to master what is the ideal balance between the 3 - psychology, money management, system/strategy. Also which profitable style to trade consistently,
be a mechanical, fundamental or discretionary trader.
I'm a big fan of old school legends like Gann and Elliott and trying to decipher the tape. I'm looking for my own simple edge to trade. I don’t mind either strategies; before the curve or confirmation after the curve to trend follow.
This is just another chapter in my life I'm dieing to follow through this year…
I need help soon in choosing the right charting platform(s), indicator(s), data feeds.
I want to explore in depth … automated systems, back testing with unfiltered tick data,
analysis for volume-delta/profiling/time/price/ranges, footprints, point of control, etc.
I'm in a mid life crisis, also wanting to study a finance/economics/trading degree and work with large firms to get more inside knowledge also.
I'm your rookie.
Cheers.
