now, with Vision Financial Markets (VFM), as I stated on my original post, one has to go through an Introducing Broker as they wont deal directly with you for futures... and with them, in this case you(Optimus) is in fact competitively priced as one of their IB..

Hi sysot1t, no, you can contact vision directly, I did so and I got a sales rep from vision giving me direct low quotes without any Introducing Broker like optimus. I never had to go via optimus or another IB for vision. I didn't choose them because I couldn't trade the DAX with them, I think Rithmic is still missing DAX and other Euro indexes ?

Hello Everyone,

Some things I want to clarify, others FCM do offer Rithmic with R-Trader, but from the research that I have conducted they cant direct Rithmic to other platforms like NinjaTrader, etc so we have quite a niche there.

There is a Bid/Ask data provided with Rithmic BUT it is stored on the servers of the platform, and not Vision. They don’t have servers to support history. So in the example of NinjaTrader, we do provide historical Ask/Bid Data because .

Matt

Thank you for the above posts Matt

Could you clarify for me the point of historical Ask/Bid Data.
Is there 30 days of the historical Ask/Bid Data available?
Is the data, Rithmic data, meaning it comes very close to the quality of DTN IQ?
I am looking at the comparitive studies that Luke has done here at Big Mike's

Yes, I am preparing all the material as far as what is available.
As a broker, I get everything so I need to distinguish between what I get and what customers get.
Please allow me a day to do my investigation.

you took one sentence out of what I said and made that an independent statement when in fact I was referring to my situation OR an IB that has the RTs to justify a very low rate with their FCMs. Maybe I should have made it more clear, and I apologize if I didn't.

dont apologize... I only picked that portion because I wanted to ensure others understood that was the only thing from your post that was not 100% accurate...

you are always on the level, as I said, so no need to apologize.

I know this because I did work for an FCM for years, and i know how it works internally.

I know; you worked for the very FCM you IB for... .. which IMO gives you an edge over any other IB's out there by knowing the internals of the FCM..

In the end I see humanity beats everything ...

not always... in the end trading is still a business, and as such it helps when the rep is great in following up, staying in touch, basically taking care of the account, it takes a load of one having to worry about things....

at the same time the rep could be a great guy, take you out to lunch, etc. but not take care of you when you need it the most in multiple occassions, and that is when he/she should be replaced regardless of one's feelings..

I stand corrected then, I reached out to their office in CT and NY and I got the same message from two resources.. so I just gave up trying to get a list...

I do know they have an arm for direct accounts for equities, but my understanding was there wasnt one for futures..

I guess I asked the wrong questions, since I was trying to get an IB list...

Sys...you were right 99%. Many times they do redirect it to IBs.
There could be a guy there that would take a call, but yes equities is the main thing is he focusing there from my understanding. In any case, I would be more than happy to give you a Rithmic data feed, and negotiate with you a reasonable rate if you require so in the future. I am impressed with your objectivity and the input you have in this thread.

@sys1t:

I understand you are with broker on TT execution. Does it mean you use MD with IQfeed and execute on TradeVec via TT? You know I am in similar position with IRT, which does not support TT yet.

@all:

Thanks all for participating and helpful insights. The more infos are shared the more is my decision for the broker getting difficult -

Honestly, that is what I meant. Given you get the commissions, the platform, etc a broker that understands your trading needs and helps you when you need it most beats a "schmoozer". I am with you on that.
I called "humanity" in terms on understanding customers and their needs.

that is correct, i have Tradevec/TT for execution and MD/IQFeed for charting... I like Tradevec quite a lot... and I like that I can feed IQFeed to a lot of different tools.
