I am not a programmer. maybe someday I will want to develop some skills in that area, but not today. I have some code that displays perfectly, but alerts are problematic. I am playing around with 'sequential'-type ideas (DeMark), and the code simply counts/labels bar closes ("simply" may not be true, since the first programmer employed was unable - what I have is the product of a second programmer). code is for tradestation, so is limited to time bars.
initial iterations, alerts would sound, then stop (while being set to "continuously"). on my end - not on the programmer's end (his worked, mine didn't). did some things with ts tech support to no avail, culminating ultimately in sending the code to the tech, who set up an exact chart. his first alert sounded continuously, as specified (he had to turn it off); every subsequent alert then became like mine (sounds briefly, then shuts itself off).
observations went back to my programmer, who tweaked, resulting in the 1-min es test chart that worked, last night - and the 60-min euro chart, which did not work (there should have been a alert on the 0400 bar, this morning).
was referred here by another programmer. with the caveat that I will need a spoon - plug & play (I am not a programmer), anybody interested in taking a look for possible resolutions to the problem?
