I would like to build a system based off RSI, preferably using C# because I intend to use it using Calgo (software) by spotware. Pretty much its based off RSI. When RSI is 85 or above I want to enter a short position, when it is 15 or below, I want to enter a long position. I would like to exit my positions when the RSI goes to 50. I would also like to have 10 tick stops, it will be used in forex so 10 pips. Without the stop loss the system has a profit factor of 1.04 on eur/usd assuming spreads of 0.2 and commissions of $30 per million over 4k trades from 2011 till present, which is very marginally profitable and probably not fit for live trading. I think it fared a bit better on the japanese yen. It uses 1 minute candles with a period of 10 (it could be 14 I think I changed it to 10) I hope to increase profitability by limiting losses. Feel free to use it if you build it. I would also be interested in experimenting with profit targets to close the position instead. I built the non stoploss system just by editing a prebuilt rsi system I really dont know how to code.
