I'm developing a system aiming to create a ninja strategy and trading it automated. I do not have much experience on the subject, so before commiting money to development wanted to ensure I know all the pros / cons I may face.
Below are some questions I have, some general some personal reg my system:
1) If I use range bar and there is a news event (ie: CL):
- are orders correctly generated and filled (with acceptable slippage)?
- what other issues may I face on this regard?
2) is it feasible to code a system with 3 setups built independently, each of them with their own targets and trailing method or I need to have three strategies running together?
(my system has one setup for counter trend, one for change of trend and one for consolidated trend or pullback)
3) is it possible to program IF the system is long (from Setup 1), the next short signal (Setup 2) is a SAR instead of a STOP alone?
4) IS NINJA TRADER RELIABLE for this practice with real money? are orders on an exchange server or on my computer, so if it crashes then no more trading?
5) In case Ninja is not reliable, does anyone have experience with another platform / brokers where one can just rely on the strategy being executed as per one's parameters?
