As we have here multiple collaborative coding projects (first version of an indicator by mister X, then miss Y add a colored version, then mister Z add some Fibonacci on it, ...), we think that allow a group of people to work together on a unified code base to enhance that code in an efficient method, and facilitate easy sharing and version control tracking (changelog tracking, per user, per line), might be a good idea.
Some good "candidates", or good examples, are maybe the Hurley ( project, or the multiple Gomi's addon, but the idea is also good for smaller projects.
We're going to use SVN, which is a standard in the Open-Source and corporate world, some details on it here: Apache Subversion - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (.
The idea, and the procedure is simple:
- get and install Toretoise SVN (
- create a directory which will host the files repository
- get the files (indicator, strategy, template, ...), or push the files, create your own project, ...
But before this, you'll have to ask me for a username/password, because these won't be the forum's one.
Also, it's a first try, and only useful for active coders, so we will accept only a limited number of people for this first step.
The svn url to use is svn://www.bmcodex.com/elite
I've made a small video which describe the installtion process, here ( (the video was made for the moderators, as their are not very smart, most of you won't need it ).
For the installation steps, see screenshots below, and in the other post, I hope it'll be enough, if not ask your questions in this thread.
