Been reading through the board for a while and figured it was time to start my own trading journal, in hopes of improving my trading. Completely new to trading, this is my first month at it. Was going to start trading futures and after reading all 90+ pages of the ask a trader anything thread, came to realize that was a horrible place to start. So FOREX it is. SIM traded for a few weeks to get the hang of my platform (Sierra Chart), but moving on to trading micros now to jump into real money. Account is funded with money that I can afford to burn in my education, as I didn't feel I would be as disciplined and feel the mental side of things if I was only trading SIM. Planning on holding my trades for no longer than a day as of now, but anything could change as I embark on this trading adventure and learn more about styles I'm most successful at. Currently taking the Al Brooks Price Action Course, so many of my current trading strategies are those that were taught in the course. Still working my way through so I have no doubt my strategy will evolve as I learn more about the behavior of the markets. Feel that price action trading makes the most sense to me right now as I like the simplified approach and feel the best way to be successful at trading is learning how the market behaves (more often than not), and basing trades off of this. My main focus right now will be identifying setups that provide a positive trader's equation, and keep disciplined in my approach at all times. Any and all feedback is more than welcome as I could use as much help/advice as possible to be successful, no matter how harsh at times. Look forward to the journey fellas.
