Hi All,

Is anyone familiar with Bill William's trading choas 2nd ed; gator/ AO/AC/ fractals etc?
Does this technique still work with forex? commodities? and/or indices?
Or is it too 'simple' for todays markets?

thanks

yes, I am, essentially they are based around a series of MA's getting in sync, to clearly display the trend. In today's market they might mean using a 30 min chart, which would preclude better entries, fewer trades and a larger S/L limit, imo.
I use fractals to measure moves, as eg ES algos run them all day long, and use those for entries and exits, when it's in rotation. You don't need BW for fractals, but his thinking is sound and the indies are very good. Many traders I know are moved away from time based charting, looking for better entries and exits, less lag, which I feel BW indies have. They look great in hindsight, but require deft skill to be quick in rel time because the algos know all the entries and exits, every retail move there is, and are playing them non-stop.
