Moving Average Cross Over Background Color - v1.3 5 *
This indicator was created at the request of @ssubterfuge
https://nexusfi.com/elite-circle/1261-want-your-ninjatrader-indicator-created-free-1656.html

This indicator displays a change in chart background color when two moving averages of your choice cross over. Or you can choose to display a shaded rectangle instead of the chart background color shading. A third option is that you can display both, the background and the rectangle shading simultaneously.

You can select an offset, by a number of bars, to start displaying after the moving averages have crossed.

There is an option to plot the moving averages selected.

The available moving averages you can select include:
EMA,
SMA,
HMA,
WMA,
DEMA,
TMA,
TEMA,
ZLEMA,
VMA

UPDATED (2021 Feb 11 - Version 1.1): Allow you to select one moving average type for the slow MA and a different moving average type for the fast MA.

UPDATED (2021 Feb 15 - Version 1.2): Added VMA to the list of available moving average types.

UPDATED (2021 Mar 11 - Version 1.3): Added KAMA & MAMA to the list of available moving average types.

NT8 Hull Moving Average Color Change 5 *
Hello All,

Like many others, in migrating over to NT 8 many indicators are not available yet. I use the HMA often and prefer when color changes if rising or falling.

Here's my conversion using the script found on the NT Forums here: https://forum.ninjatrader.com/showthread.php?t=79551&page=7

Enjoy.

Nope this isn't that special, but it dovetails with the MACDcolor indicator I posted. This is similar to several commercially available indicators. Single plot Stochastic with colors.

This does expose all the native stochastic data series, which others do not, so you can pull the D or K value if you need to. Also, this has several advanced alert features, including the ability to only trigger alerts during defined periods of the day.

I like to keep it simple and I like when my indicators agree. The posted image shows the gemMACDcolor and the gemStochasticColor indicators superimposed. I like it when the Stoch crosses over the MACD and both are in OB/OS territory.

Submitted image shows the gemMACDcolor and the gemStochasticColor indicators on a LogikUltimateRenko chart.

Cheers!

radi8

NOTE: To superimpose the MACD and Stochastics plots, as shown in the example, simply set the display panels to the same number or drag one plot on top of the other.

UPDATE (1/31/17)
I found a small bug with the time logic that I corrected. The indicator is otherwise unchanged. If you would like the indicator to generate signals at all times then set all the time bin values to -1.

Yes, I know, there are an infinite number of variations on the MACD indicator.

That said, I wanted an MACD that I could define overbought and oversold conditions for. That is difficult to do given the different tick sizes of various instruments. So I created a normalized MACD. So this will plot with similar values whether you are trading the 6J or the YM. With this in mind, you can establish OB/OS levels in the indicator. The indicator will trigger alerts when there is a crossover in OB/OS territory. In general, I've found that values between 5 and 10 are good for the OB/OS levels. When a crossover happens in this region, a trend reversal is more likely. When the indicator is moving between the OB/OS levels, it is generally not a great time to enter the market.

Also, I like simple. So this indicator just shows one colored plot. It changes colors when the MACD and AVE plots cross, showing only one line. I still include all the normal data series you can access (Default, Ave, Diff). There are several DataSeries you can access for strategies as well as for market analyzers. You can also define time zones for the alerts. If there is a particular strategy you trade off the MACD that is time sensitive, this will allow you to define that time block when you would like to be alerted.

The screenshot shows this indicator with my CandleStickDoctor indicator.

Cheers!

UPDATE (1/31/17)
I found a small bug with the time logic that I corrected. If you want the indicator to generate signals at all times, set all the time bins to -1.

Also added the ability to select different MA's as the source for the MACD.

ColorInputSeriesSlopeChanges 5 *
I created a universal indicator that will alter the color based on slope change of "ANY" distinct, single-value dataseries in any panel.

To use this, you need to learn how to define the input series for the indicator (all done via the NT8 UI).

You can use “ANY” other available dataseries as input and the color change will be applied. No programing required; upper Bollinger band, lower Keltner band, HMA, TSI, MACD, etc… any indicator you have on your system can be used as the input dataseries for this indicator.

You need to understand how to change input series to use this indicator. This works the same as it did in previous Nijatrader releases.

Read up on this here for NT8

1.) go to control panel
2.) select help guide (F1)
3.) open Operations by selecting arrow head
4.) open Chart by selecting arrow head
5.) select Working with Indicators document
6.) open How to edit an indicator's parameters by selecting arrow head
scroll to bottom of this display to read about changing indicator input series

Note, this feature is recursive meaning you can do this multiple times for example
ColorInputSeriesSlopeChanges(ema(volume)))

You can change the colors used, the defaults are Red (down), Yellow(same or peak), or Green(up).

Yellow can indicate values that are identical but it can also represent what I call Peak. The Peak value is the bar that is the apex of the slope change (ie from up to down). You can also toggle the display of Peak off or on.

MVTC_Vol_Ver1 5 *
This volume indicator is based on Gail Mercer's article in the Sept. 2012 issue of TASC. It colors the volume bars based on whether the price bar is an up, down, outside, or inside price bar.

The logic is as follows:
- Up bar = current high > previous high and current low >= previous low (green vol bar)
- DownBar = current high <= previous high and current low < previous low (red vol bar)
- OutsideBar = current high > previous high and current low < previous low (gray vol bar)
InsideBar = current high <= previous high and current low >= previous low (transparent vol bar)

Any suggestions for improvement are welcomed.

Ron
