Hello

the bars he use are MedianRenko,
i tried BetterRenko, they come close but they didn´t match exactly.
If i understand the post of Big Mike here in this thread correct, then he asked him for Better Renko. If you go through the recorded webinar at the ICE he told he had developed those bars and they are derived form Point and Figure charts. So it took a while until i found out that this wasn`t true.
Now, i am banned from his free chat room for telling the truth about woodiesbars.

Frank

Here is a link where Woodie gives a seminar on Woodies Bars.

https://icewebinar.webex.com/ec0605ld/eventcenter/recording/recordAction.do;jsessionid=KJpcTLnX7kCyqpHTDLgSTHtTvTLlpkn3GfdfrvM8C4DC4hZmgw3D!-1525491393?theAction=poprecord&actname=%2Feventcenter%2Fframe%2Fg.do&actappname=ec0605ld&renewticket=0&renewticket=0&apiname=lsr.php&entappname=url0107ld&needFilter=false&&isurlact=true&rID=3946567&entactname=%2FnbrRecordingURL.do&rKey=c5b29d4a8a7475d3&recordID=3946567&siteurl=icewebinar&rnd=0429801718&SP=EC&AT=pb&format=short

He mentions that the bars were created by @roonius and that he had MicroTrends to make it Woodies Bars. He says he has more than 2 years of forward testing these bars before he actually introduced them in his room 3 months ago (from the date of seminar). He said that he was tired of giving his stuff away free and people stealing it and sell it on internet and now he charges for them. (note: CCI was created by Lambert and Median Renko bars by Roonius).

Aligator,

I had to think long and hard about how to best respond to your post without sounding like I am criticizing or condoning what has happened.

I think the answer to your suggestion is obvious....that would most certainly be asking for trouble and bring problems for Big Mike and the person who posted it. I value this community and appreciate what Big Mike has done, and contnues to do, for all of us. To do something like that would be disrepectful, and inconsiderate of Big Mike's hard work here.

FrankFx has already posted a screenshot of the Median Renko and ATR Channel showing the similarities, so that should be more than enough information for anyone to mimic the setup if they choose to do so.

It might take a little work to find those indicators, but anything worth having is "worth working for."

I used to follow Woodies room on a regular basis and I enjoyed learning from him. For years, Woodie gave away all his work for free and many of us took advantage of that education. For whatever reason, he decided to start charging and that is his right to do so. (For those of us who live in the US, doesn't this sound very similar to some of our "entitlement" programs? Everyone is happy as long as they get things for "free" and the minute it is taken away......)

Someone mentioned that Woodie said roonius originated the bars he is using. If that is true, and if Woodie communicated with roonius, then the proprietary issue should be between roonius and Woodie.

We have no control over what someone else does, only what we do. Last time I checked, this is still a free country and we still have choices.

For me, I choose to get back to the business of trading.

As for my friend, I am happy for him. He is a good person and I have known him many years. He has chosen to support Woodie to show his appreciation for everything Woodie has done for him and I respect his choice.

Last but not least, thank you, Big Mike, for creataing this forum for all serious traders to continue learning and sharing with each other.

Brevco,

I know who is your friend, and this friend has reasons to be loyal to w. Now that the scam has been discovered and is public, thanks to Frank, why don't you share the fraudulent and exposed "Median Renko Bares" file for public to see.

Yes i talked to roonius and told him as well as Big Mike that i would give him reconigtion. which i did for my only public presentation. it was ok'd by him...yes cci was develop by Don Lambert and i never said it was not In fact Don spoke at many of my seminars and gave me all his work he done on CCI...however the way the CCI was traded was totally different then the lambert way..i also added the turbo 6 cci which many people renamed different names including some on this board. there are posts here that are copies of my work and renamed but i never said a word even tho some are copyrighted infringments. i think mike has done a great job here and no reason for petty things. i have always given credit to others work as much as i want credit for my work...there are some who are jealous at what we do and no matter what i do they will try to knock us down...including one who spread all over the internet that we did this etc and all because i threw him out of the room, it turned out he bilked many traders for more than 21 million dollars and is in fed prison for the next 26 years. for 11 years my room was free for all until we found 3 people selling my cci system by changing the name of the patterns...hell my free cci document which is free on my web site was sold on ebay for $25 dollars...i could on and on..best of trading to you all

woodie

woodie,

did you know that i was your most stout defender on board here?

if you have any doubt, check numerous posts in your defense against those who for many many public and professional reasons wanted to list woodies cci chat room in the blacklist. in the finality of thing, i lost out and you are blacklisted last month.

for numerous reasons, i defended your philosophy of traders helping traders; defended your way of imparting wcci to newbies--the terminology that you and other moderators like to describe someone who is new to your chatroom without really knowing the person's trading repertoire; defended many moderators whom i became personal friends with during my newbie days in your room; among several others....

as i stated numerous times before that i absolutely have no biz nor personal interest whatever in your organization. isn't that correct, woodie?

(1) now, woodie, whom i admire in so many different ways; why on earth would you want to change what has been very successful for you for 11 years....? why, woodie?

once upon a time, not too long ago, there were about 100 wannabe traders in your free chatroom, and even before that, your free chatroom was filled to capacity with around 500 to 700 wannabes while t.... was still moderating early in the morning;

then, you could have asked for a general donation of 100 each, many would be glad to contribute to support you personally or otherwise, which would have easily been sufficient for anyone to live a comfortable life style with about 50k a month, woodie....

(2) i also personally knew several of your both present and former mods, and several others who refused to moderate any longer. i am quite certain that you personally realized that those are successful traders on their own merits. should i or should i not tell you in public among members of et, the reasons those successful traders' refusal to continue to mod....? but i rather hear your side of the story, if you please, woodie. you are under no indictment, ok. just a friendly dialogue to clear things up among long time traders, friends and foes alike, ok?

(3) for now, woodie, why would you want to change from a very popular learning to trade center, wcci, to $100 (?) a month chat room? as you knew very well, there is not even one state qualified nor certified financial advisor/broker calling live signals for the live trading room, regardless of what one may want to call that room? just how long do you figure you could get away with such arrangement among traders bursting with energy and inquisitiveness....?

(4) changing from a free learning to trade center to a fee paid center is not as expeditious as changing your stand and trading philosophy from--who needs the damned price action chart....? wcci is all every trader needs....! remember, just not too long ago, you condemned your mods and followers who would dare to mention or suggest using price chart....!

but just recently, you practically condemned yourself by proudly showing off price chart prominently on your trading panel....! and on top of everything else, you and a few others decided to charge $200 (?) a piece from your faithful followers to lease YOUR CHART.... so they can see the chart on their own screens....

(5) woodie, as a trader yourself, could you tell us in your own words and in your own way, what's gone so very wrong in such a short period of time, please....?

(6) i purposely ask you this question so to give you another chance to come clean among professional traders as to what actually happened?

but it is up to you whether or not to respond.... to help many of us to better understand you as a trader, ok, woodie?

however, if you decide to brush everything aside and to try to explain everything away, as if nothing has happened; as you obviously were trying to do in your response above; then perhaps, it is best not to bother to respond at all, OK? it is your last chance to come clean, woodie.

most importantly, you are under no duress nor pressure of any sort or kind to respond or not to respond at all, OK, woodie?

with all due respect. and i also want you to know i find it very difficult to ask you so many questions like the above. so sorry woodie.

still a newbie--in underground andaman cave

It might take a little work to find those indicators, but anything worth having is "worth working for."

Brevco,

Your note is a little different from the intent of the statement above. Regardless, like many others I spent some time following Woodie trading WCCI and respecting his insistence that "we don't need no stinky candle bars" since CCI is a momentum and leading indicator. In fact, some who talked about candles or support and resistant levels were kicked out because they were "confusing others." We all know there is only one single indicator out there that can tell you the real story, and that is the price action.

Nevertheless, all those who left WCCI room either lost their account or died. Otherwise, why would you want to leave when you a are making money. I left because after 32 years trading I could not believe that price did not matter, but I was willing to give his "revolutionary" method a try on the side. I never heard one person saying that he made money trading wcci in the room. Now, suddenly, the "revolutionary" indicator is abandoned for another revolutionary "flatfoots" and Median Renko bars based on price action. Wish he had not rename these bars after himself and he could still charge for the template (like C. Kase naming Range bars after her own as Kase Bars)

Median Renko indy by Roonius is public and available on futures.io (formerly BMT), so there is no need to pirate it from TN, NT, MT, or even search for it.

For all I care is I learned one thing from Woodie that was worth being in his room, "You need to get rid of things that make you loose." So, thanks Woodie!

I think this is very interesting........you have two vendors (Roger Felton and Ken Wood)........they both discover futures.io (formerly BMT).......they both discover new price bars that futures.io (formerly BMT) members have invented. One takes the new price bars....puts his name on them and tries to sell them ( Woodie/Median Renko/Woodie Bars) and the other (Roger Felton/better line break/better renko) in a gesture of appreciation to the forum gives away several proprietary indicators to the elite members of the forum and conducts free webinars.

Striking contrast......

Go figure.........
