well i see the link again for beta 16, and it says that indicators that were built not using ninja b16 shouldn't be installed anymore... does that mean that the volume ladder is unusable after this upgrade?

Michael, this would be just for the assembly ones I believe, you would need to recompile and export them on 16 ... my custom cs files ported over just fine here to 16.

Lots of fixes for beta 17. Must be getting close to full release.... I can live in hope anyway...

I have had no issues with beta 16 for the way I use it. I hope 17 doesn't break anything as it would be a step backwards for me.

How do you port over indcators from Ninja 6.5? I was told you had to reinstall them one by one. Since I have so many, that's too much trouble. I just stayed with 6.5

Anyone that already installed ninja beta 17, can you please give you input. New bugs/problems..... or smooth transition?
Thanks

No I don't use NT7 for trading. I do however have it running on a second computer as a data feed and for testing. Smooth sailing so far but I only use my own indicators and for charts. Haven't done anything harsh to it yet.

NT 6.5 for trading.

My NT7..17 was installed on the 10th of June. My first impression was good. Pertaining to transition and instrument merging so far I didn’t noticed anything strange. Fact is that NT7 claimed a smooth transition from 6.5 except that workspace, charts and indicators need to be manually redone from scratch.

Noticed the error prompts were better with this release at least when selected instruments needed updating.

No frozen screens yet.

On June 11th, AMP support came in and did the live connection setup for Trading Technologies (TT) – Huh if AMP tech support would just send an email to me I could’ve done that by my self. On this issue I am a little confused as to why am I not allowed to convert the NT Key from (I guess) zenfire to TT?

Here is a link for TT connection-setup on NinjaTrader’s website
TradingTechnologiesConnectionGuide_demo

Overall I think NT7 is better and more stable than its prior release 6.5 - Yes I will trade with NT7 live but on a second machine. That would be sometimes next week.

NT7..17 live trading -- YES did it for one week so far. Yet have nothing bad to report except that on one machine (single CPU dual 3.4 MHz+4Gb RAM) about three times (if not four) a pending order was placed/activated 3 POINTS behind its position – basically was thrown unfavorably 3 points on NQ (I think that is $60 worth of money plus trade cost plus closing – tick it is coming to about $70 loss). Switched machines immediately to a dual CPU (dual XEON) 3.4 MHz w/4Gb RAM and that never happened again (not yet)

Although this week was unfavorable one for me on the market (over 1.2k loss) I cannot blame NT7 alone -- not yet. Data feed or the broker have their equal share of fault unless it is me that I cannot make a dime out of 100+ trades/orders.

I’ll try AMP with IQ feed to see if live trading doesn’t lose latency and money.

Current setup: 233 bar Chart with Bollinger, TSSuperTrend_v2.2.zip (did not override NT7 indicators, finetuned to mach NQ), MACD. Also look at the DOM for references.
My performance was gaining on 6 trades (in the row) . And this is not about making millions but ending your trade/order with a gain (sometimes 50/50with your service providers or the worst 0 no gain).

Another note is that NT customer support have a problem clarifying anything when reporting errors or may “God forbids if it is anything bad about their baby”.

Any suggestion improving trading signals via charts templates will be deeply appreciated.

huh, trading
