It would be easy for NT developpers to add an option (such as AutoScale or CalcOnBarClose) to switch the plot of the indicator on and off.

Such an option can also be hardcoded for each indicator on the chart, just need to add one property.

Toggling indicators on and off after selecting them: Selecting and toggling off works, but how do you get them back on the chart, as you can't select them anymore? You would need a different short cut for each indicator. Do not think that this is feasible.

Yeah I asked for that at some point. It is how MultiCharts does it, one click, on/off, imagine that Not having to completely remove the entire indicator and re-add it... wow. Those were fun days

Check out this thread. Go request the feature officially from NinjaTrader and then reply back to this thread with their answer, I hope they will add it:

Hi,

Sorry not to respond sooner; I'm in Bhutan and both internet and electricity are a wee bit intermittent....

This actually works better on indicators (Volumeladder, DOM, etc) that overwrite the Plot() method, since you just don't execute the code. But here's a quick version of a Keltner channel with Alt-K as the toggle for making the lines transparent. You need to be connected for it to work.

Interesting. But then you would need to recode each of your indicators, so that it comes with a toggle button. Maybe @Big Mike could create a download category Ninjatrader 7 Toggle Indicators, LOL.

I wonder if this could be coded as a 'method' in some way, one for moving averages, another for draw objects, another for print ... ??

Basically the code snippet of @futurestrader can be added to each indicator. Additionally you could access the toggle code via indicator dialogue and change it to what you like.

But in the end you need to modify all your indicators one by one to have a toggle version. As shown above, it is not so difficult to do it.

I was looking for some basic toggle code. I downloaded KeltnerChanngeToggle.zip and tried out the indicator as a test but the toggle function doesn't work. I realize it was posted awhile back. Was this for NT6.5?

This still works in realtime (Alt+K). As this section is in onbarupdate section - Would wait for the next tick to toggle the indicator.

Thanks.
