Yes she uses those all the time. No she doesn't really want to quit.

Hmm--Well hopefully she will decide to quit one day.--I would recommend whyquit.com and E-Cigarette Forum for good info and support. The ecig forum is full of people who have quit tobacco--effortlessly--like myself.

It was pretty simple. I did a lot of research about different things and I kept seeing sugar as a culprit. So I eliminated sugar along with all its derivatives. Anything that ended in "ose". Anything with syrup including those nice new vegan sounding "pure came or pure rice syrup or really anything at all that sounded like sugar.

This was tough but not impossible. I even found bread with no sugar in it.

Secondly I got rid of most of the red meat. Replaced it with turkey and chicken but even that has been reduced quite a bit.

And lastly, got rid of most fried food.

That's it. I did and still do some walking but not as much as I should. The heart docs recommend an hour a day of brisk walking as the bed over all exercise for the heart and that's on my 2014 list as well.

I've eaten sugar around the holidays but in very small quantities and I've only gained 2 pounds since thanksgiving.

I'm investigating the Mediterranean diet now on the advice of my heart doc as a long term eating solution.

Hope that helps.

Hey Panda did you ever try our any of that superfood??

Indeed, although in some ways I've had a hard time adjusting to the idea my heart is damaged and I need to work hard to fix it.

Mostly though its been a wake up call to simplify life and live in the moment. Enjoy whatever or whoever is currently present. And that is harder the further removed from the incident I become. So I focus on that as a life goal and that helps keep me centered on the present.

If you listened to my "an afternoon with big mike" webinar you may remember I had a life changing event, basically post-divorce when I decided trading was it for me. I downsized everything and almost lost it all to boot. But I discovered what was truly important in life, what really made me happy. It was a very important lesson and one I constantly strive to remember.

No, I honestly forgot about it. My dad is trying something right now that seems to work and after heed proven it, I'll try it as well.

You should look into juicing. I've done as juice fast a few times and really enjoyed it. You don't need to fast, just try to incorporate a juice or two into your day. Amazing health benefits. I'm talking about juicing vegetables not fruits. Kale, cilantro, parsley, all kinds of good stuff that is amazing for cleansing.

I've been having a green smoothy for breakfast for almost a year. Lately I've been thinking about having it for lunch as well. I do out fruit in them but I am also thinking about doing juice fasts once a quarter for the cleansing effects.

Anyone have any experience with this thing or something similar? The benefit is supposed to be that will completely liquefy vegetables, fiber and all. My wife says it's a waste, but she says that about anything I want to buy.

This is the big brother of the one you posted....its much better...I use it every day....just had a smoothy with an apple in it...chopped it up pretty good....not liquified but close enough for me.

From my limited research, the difference between this thing and a juicer is that a juicer only extracts the juice and the fiber is a by-product that gets thrown away.
