Remember Forest Gump..."Life is like a box of chocolate..."

Well Formula 1 Racing is like trading. You have finally developed your skills as Formula 1 race car driver, but that's still not enough. Each new track that you race is like a different instrument you trade and each track, like instrument, has it's own unique characteristic. So as a Formula 1 race car driver, you're constantly playing with gear ratio, like indicators, tire selection, like indicators, wing adjustments, like indicators...etc...until you get it right for each track, instrument.

I would assume, if Schumacher was a trader, he would be quite successful.

"Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." --- "Therefore, I Believe it and I will see it. And every day and in every way, I am healthier, wealthier, and wiser."

well to be honest in the last F1 season, Shumy blow up his account (like the best traders)
joking, becouse Shumy for me, as a ferrari fan, is like god...

Anyway if we want to keep it realted to trading, the strength of Shumacher is the "method". Of course he has the best driving genes, god talents, lucky and so on, but he is also very methodical, and very good in setting up things. He prepared in advance for his winnings. I'm not talking ONLY about the car setup, i'm talking in about the professional way to do things. He setup the car in the best way, but in doing so he uses a way of working... then he trained his body, then he studied the circuit, then he trained the psicology(very important in high level sport too), then he defined a way to work with his engeneers and so on....
many can NOT do that (average trader)... but many other can do that so there are good drivers(profitable traders) and some other can do this in the best way like Shumacher(market wizard)
To me this is a very important point in life and in trading. I'm not good at that..... but i'm working on

The method is not the setup, but the way of doing things.

Hi all, I am also big fan of F1 , I am following all tests and news and looking forward on the beginning of season. It looks more balanced than last year, but I guess that red bull will mix it this year with vodka from start and they might be very constant in good results, but my most favorite racer is Robert Kubica, I hope he will be healthy soon.

to redegenerated: thanks for a tip about 60€ drive with such a cars. I am going this year with my wife to Italy (Lago di Garda - Firenze - Roma - Tropea) for a couple days and maybe I would try it .

R.

Kubica out, Heidfeld in. Robert is a great driver for sure and it is a shame to see him miss the season due to his accident. That said, Nick has much more potential than several of the new teams drivers and even Vitaly Petrov. I am excited to see how Nick v Vitaly will unfold this season.

For the season, I'm ready for Alonso to win another title and for Ferrari to bring home another championship.

I've stopped watching F1, the best years were with Michael Schumacher and Mika Hakkinen. I'm a big Michael Schumacher fan, but man, he is soooo rubbish, he never should of come back to F1.

Michael is the greatest but the emotions I had with Ayrton Senna vs Alain Prost and Gilles Villeneuve vs René Arnoux have nothing to do with today's champs (the driver, nor the car or electronics, made the difference)

@ sam028 I bet you remember this one
