I was just curious if any fellow futures.io (formerly BMT) members, have ever traded Options on these various symbols or still do trade Options on them, and if so, what advice would you give , and I noticed that even buying quite a bit OTM, the options are quite expensive, even at just 30 days till expiration.

What peeked my interest was, I get some great setups on the Forex pairs themselves , so why not try and go Long a Call or Put when I get those entries .

Anyways, hope some fellow members can shed some light or share their expierence(s) with trading Options on these pairs.

Thanks much - Michael

Hi, I trade the currencies with options. Most of the time on the short side selling puts or calls. My favorite pair is the 6J. My most profitable pair is the Aussie. Right now I own a call on the yen at 9150 with the idea to later sell the 9350 call for the same premium of the 9150 call if the yen spikes.

I just started trading options on the 6E on TOS again after a few year break with this underlying. In the past I traded iron condors with around 8 to 10 delta short strikes about 60 DTE.

I traded naked strangles on the 6E last month (using May options) with about 7 delta short strikes, and they worked out well. I have a naked strangle on the 6E right now (using June options) that is currently at 50 DTE and being tested a little quicker than I expected.

I generally sell options on commodities. Currently, most of my trades are in the grains, softs, and energies. In the currencies, I held a naked strangle in the 6E (already sold the call profitable), and intend to sell puts on the 6B next week. Delta 5 - 10, and DTE 90 - 120.

Only very rarely I buy options.

Best regards, Myrrdin
