New to Day Trading. What is the most common platform for day trading (best) and how do I obtain it? Want to learn how to day trade properly(or find out if its even for me) this is my second post. I put down intermediate because I have much investment experience, but little in day trading. I put down Ninja Trader as a platform, because I like the name, but I have no platform loaded on my computer.

I just had a system built for trading with multiple monitors. No, its not an i7, its an i5, but it seems good. A little guidance is what I am requesting.

Thanks for your help, in advance.

If you want to paper trade (demo) and just learn the markets I would suggest Metatrader. There is a lot of brokers that offer demo's for an unlimited time period. Let me know if you require the names of some of these brokers or just Google Metatrader demo. It is free, but not the best platform out there.

I used Tradestation for about 8 years. ..considering going back but I think their size slows down their development a bit. I am a Wave 59 user and in their niche nobody compares...not even close. Wave does not integrate with my broker and service is sometimes an issue for non programers like me. I'm evaluating ninja trader. Their integration with my broker is great. Their oe capacity is very good. Trying to determine if my "work" from the other platforms will port over to c#.

Consider ninja as it will not impact your expense line to be become a sim trading superstar. Please do that before you risk more than a few thousand of your own loonies. DB
