First of all, I suggest to you click the "confirm" button before you submit the orders!
This may avoid some serious errors. Once you know this platform inside and out, then....STILL continue to use the confirmation button.
Ok, nothing that you have shown me should prevent you from getting the default orders on the DOM.
Attach a screen shot from the DOM when you place a limit and/or stop and I can see the type of orders it throws at you.
If nothing comes of our efforts here , you can call me tomorrow.

Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
#3. You need to learn to press between the price and the blue and pink columns.
In this specific case, you need to click between the blue depth and the price, but do it below the current price.
To be specific, you need to do it in the "SM" column.
This will trigger a sell stop. This image will help.
So start pressing between the price and the depth in the columns to see what orders you get.
Thanks,
Matt Z

No worries. I love software....I play with this stuff all the time to figure it out.
At some point you start to develop intuition and feel the flow of the platform if you play around with them as long as I have.
In the end you will use 10% of the features available on any given platform, in my opinion.
Just learn the stuff you need, and above all ALWAYS make sure you know how to read the trades in your platform.
You should be able within seconds to figure out what has been traded, executed, rejected, etc.
I would be more than happy to guide you over the phone if you ever need help.
Gnite!

This thread is three years old! I do have a couple of questions and hopefully I can still get some answers.
On RTrader Order Book: (1) I have configured Bracket and OCO, however, every time I log out the platform or when internet got disconnected, this Bracket and OCO becomes disabled. This has caused me many times entering a trade without bracket as I was not always paying attention to the status of the bracket button. I have never used a platform that I have to re-enable a pre-configured OSO/OCO every time. Question is how to "set"it so it is always enabled?
(2) What is the "account templates" on order book for? I clicked on it and had no idea what it was for or how to configure anything. I wish RTrader has detailed definition document on everything like the TradeStation platform has.
You can set bracket orders that are always there and then you just pull them out.
I agree that they could do better with documentation on R Trader.
If you call us we can walk you through the process.

As MsFutures said, your personal settings are always gone, if you close RTrader or I-Net is down, for this could be a much better solution.
The platform doesn't remember, the brackets "on" and also which bracket you want to use for which instruments, also the platform doesn't remember the contract-size (default quantity) you want to use for each instrument.
Have you tried to save your settings on the order book? "Bracket and OCO" and "Order Defaults"?

I played around with the account templates and it seems to me that it's an allocation tool if you have multiple accounts.
