It has been a while...

On the brink of "retirement", and while discussing the 401(k) with Fidelity, the rep noted their Active Trader Pro. I was not previously aware. By virtue of our discussion, it was evident, that like many, I work with other financial institutions, and that I also use multiple platforms. I imagine that is why he mentioned their offering, Active Trader Pro. A roll-over often means loosing clients entirely, so that was likely the impetus...

Anyone have and use Active Trader Pro, or at least played with it enough to formulate an opinion as to its capabilities, strengths, weaknesses? If so, kindly share.

Thanks much.

Sort of figured there might not be any input on this platform. Fidelity not doing futures is likely a big reason I imagine...

While researching, I stumbled across this guy's Youtube channel. For what he does, he's quite happy with it. Figured I'd share in case anyone might be interested:

I'm now contemplating keeping Fidelity post-retirement (not rolling-over the 401k) to have access to this platform, it's reliability, Fidelity's overall offerings...

I have active trader with fidelity, but never use it to trade with. I remember looking at it years ago and thinking that it lacked support from the wider trading community and didn’t have the ability to create custom indicators. But I do remember AT had seemed to get good fills on orders and the interface was nice. I haven’t looked at it since. Most of my investments are with Fidelity, but my trading is with other platforms and brokers.

I used to use it years ago but haven't since. Then it was a good and fast platform for equity and options trading. For managing an IRA I think it's a fine choice especially combined with other things fidelity can provide.
