It is a tax thing for the most part. In Canada, the brokers handle the taxes for American stocks bought by Canadians on american exchanges...that and there is a tax agreement between the two...

Yeah I have some good ideas about picking junior mines and oil companies using some fundamentals first then TA to time purchases...I avoid explorers for both like the plague as they are selling...
