I am planning to start using ToS for my trading, but I would like to understand something about the capabilities of the scripting language.
For the kind of trading I do I really need a language which would be capable to be integrated with other languages like R, Python or at least XML. I need the scripting language to be able to "grab" data produced by scripts from outside. I could not find any information about being able to integrate ThinkScript with anything from the outside.
Does anyone know if this is possible? If not can someone suggest me a trading platform with scripting capabilities which would let me integrate with other languages, run in linux machines and work with Ameritrade?
Thanks in advance for any suggestion
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
So I been answered by ToS support. It looks like while "ThinkScript" can't be integrated with anything else outside of ToS, Ameritrade offers an API which I am now trying to get more info about. If the API is robust enough then I might have what I was looking for.
