Hello Everyone!

I wonder if anybody had any experience with TD Ameritrade API? Is it easy to learn? Are there enough examples and tech support? How does it compare to CTS T4 API? I am primarily interested in C#, but any input is valuable.

Regards,
BrazilForever

I think the API is straightforward, and reasonably documented. The biggest problem IMO is the support is not strong and the community is small (compared to say the IB API). You also need 125k in your account to get access, I think.

Thank you, dbh21!

I checked with TD Ameritrade, they want $300,000 in account to let one use API.

...at least 30 trades per quarter. You can have a small account and get API access. I was just granted access based on my trade volume.

Thank you for sharing, cmcginnis!

30 trades a quarter does not sound too bad, I wish they would simple charge fixed fee for access to API.
