I'm thinking about taking James Dalton's Field Of Vision course. It's a 6 hour course on Market Profile. I was wondering if anybody has taken this course or had any info on it. I have been studying Market Profile lately because it seems like you can learn some very valuable pre-market info as well as market development info throughout the day.

I am aware of his two books, Mind over Markets (I read that this book is a bit outdated because of the high frequency trading that goes on now has changed the market..this book was published in the late 90's) and Markets in Profile is a good read but instead of paying $50 for this book I might just get the course.

I also read that James Dalton does not give you specific strategies for utilizing the Market Profile info. This is another thing I am looking for and that is a complete package of Market Profile studies and trading methods all in one.

I have looked at a couple of other training packages such as Emini School and Beyond Profile but these are expensive and I'm hesitant to drop that kind of money on any system.

I have learned enough in the markets to understand that you can't just piggyback someone's method and that you must create your own method but my problem is trying to figure out what time frames to use with the Volume Profile because the VPOC, and Value Areas change when you change time frames and from my understanding this is critical info when trading Market Profile so I'm thinking If I can learn a strategy from someone then I can start to create my own strategy from that critical info.

If anybody is using Market Profile for their trading could you please explain briefly how you implement it into your trading. I realize this is a vast subject..I think this is why I am struggling a bit to understand it. I like to trade using the Ichimoku and an 8/21 ema method..similar to Perry's method (Momentum style of trading) so I would like to implement this into the Market Profile method. Any advice would be great. Thanks BM traders.

goodluck

* If investing gets too difficult for a seventh grader to understand, the system is needlessly complex
* Markets produce an enormous volume of information, much of which is redundant
* In every game and con there's always an opponent, and there's always a victim. The trick is to know when you're the latter, so you can become the former

Field of Vision is great. I've seen it twice and hope to see it a few more times. There is a lot to take in. My only wish is that Dalton showed some trades. But he has another DVD set for that which I haven't seen.
MP is a lot more complicated then it looks and I believe it probably takes time to suck it all in. Its more of a tool rather than a signalling indicator like RSI or moving average.
