Thank you for your replies so far. Sounds like Mike generates a lot of good will here and seems to have helped at least a few people.

If Mike has all this site's information available to him, and has been reading, writing, absorbing information here from the start, his results might be a good indicator of the quality of the site's usefulness to others like him. He says he trades. It might be useful to see his results from two to three years ago through to now to see how Mike has progressed. If Mike trades and he is not consistently profitable, then his own content regarding trading has to be seen as potential rabbit trails, wastes of time, and not education as what does not work for one person does not mean another cannot use it. Only when a trader arrives at consistent profitability does he or she know a correct path - and that only for themselves. (Once there, if they can teach or help another person is an entirely different matter.)

This is not an attack on Mike at all. I value Mike and your time enough to re-visit, spend my time to try to continue my trading education. Thanks again for all replies. Very kind of you!

You make your own correct path in trading. You can glean info from this forum to help you down that path. But to ask for Mikes trading results to prove the validity of the content on this site is nonsense. If a method makes sense and fits you on this site take it and back test it yourself and find out if it works. Better yet develop your own and back test, forward test live test etc... This site is a collection of thoughts that can be learned from not the Holy Grail. I will say it again. It is free for much of what is here to $50 for lifetime the cost is negligible.

"The day I became a winning trader was the day it became boring. Daily losses no longer bother me and daily wins no longer excited me. Took years of pain and busting a few accounts before finally got my mind right. I survived the darkness within and now just chillax and let my black box do the work."

I don't know but what is offered here could make you a better trader and maybe
make you, the Trader profitable. There is so much here and so many good people
willing to help, the value is well worth the price. If he happens to be making money
then good for him

Finding useful trading information anywhere is hard enough. I would agree Big Mike's profitability is not
a major factor in the helpfulness and material of the site. You can go to any number of other sites which require a fee
and is just of full of useless drivel mostly promulgated by the site owners or affiliated staff or practically no participation or postings while at futures.io (formerly BMT) you've got incredible sharing by very smart members and trading ideas found no where else. True there are ads on futures.io (formerly BMT), but everything vendor related is identified clearly and moderated as such. For the elite membership it probably not only helps the maintenance costs of the site, but compensates for the moderation work and spam free postings of the dedicated elite membership in ideas and files and indicators. The background storage service demands must be increasing fast with the rising membership with all the webinars, and member posted high res pics, files and full video captures.

It's real simple. @Big Mike may or may not be a profitable trader. That applies to every single vendor or purveyor of trading information that you will ever come across. With the exception of someone that you have personal access to, i.e. sitting down with your next door neighbor at his/her computer, it will always be up to you to discern what is real vs. what is fabrication. There are some parallels to trading here. You have to take incomplete information, synthesize that information, make a decision, act on your decision, have the fortitude to stick with your decision through adversity, have the discipline to abandon your decision without ego when necessary, and ultimately find or create value that someone on the other side of your trade doesn't see and / or missed.

In trading, as in life, your results are all about you, not someone else. Admittedly, I'm a little biased in favor of this forum because I find the value here is overwhelming and obvious. I'm also a little selfish because I'm way more interested in my results than in whether or not someone else is profitable. Good luck.

We are lucky that he does not charge everyone, which would be justified. To be quite honest, I did not become an Elite Member entirely for the content. Part of it was giving value for value because this forum is so well run. I actually hope Mike is making money from the memberships (although doubtful since it is a one time fee). Hands down, this is the best trading site on the web.

Is the toolmaker a good sculptor? Is the piano maker a good pianist? Is the guy who codes brilliant indicators a good trader? I have no clue, whether @Big Mike is a good trader, but I believe that he is an excellent moderator for this forum. I also believe that his main interest in running the forum is to facilitate the exchange between traders, not to make money.

I am a member of Elite Trader, Trade2Win, Trader's Laboratory and Big Mike's. Out of the time which I dedicate to these four networks, over 95% goes to Big Mike's. Why? Because it corresponds to my needs as a trader. My questions were answered here, this place is where I learned lots of stuff from others, and relationships here tend to be more personal than in the other networks. I also have some fun here by posting in the off-topic sections.

Also I was admitted member without having a dog. I guess that there is no discrimination here.

I am rather new here, but I can say that the helpful community in this board alone is worth the $50 spent.

Other forums (which I wont mention their names) allow trolls, bickering, etc and 90% of the content is garbage you end up having to sift through.. Mike does a great job of not tolerating it, and it makes for a productive learning environment..

That in and of itself is more important than his profitability...

This site has alot of tools. What each person decides to do with them, and their success with them is their own doing.

My .02

He must be.

How can he afford to feed the 2 big labradors on a 1 time $50 membership fee.
