Heya!

Man don't give up trading Stocks yet....

There are a lot of great stock traders out there compared to futures traders based on my trading friends.

The time line for becoming consistently profitable trading stocks in a prop shop is 9 months. Everyone else basically fails. Read One Good Trade it says the same thing.

Become good at trading your set-ups.

The problem with futures is there's no variety, if the market isnt moving you have no choice but to stand back.

Good thing about stocks is you can keep looking for stocks that are presenting high quality set-ups you dont have the privileged in Futures.

Read order flow
Become a good order low reader. It will help you get better fills and minimize risk. Less risk = more profit. I dont know one successful full time trader that doesnt read order flow.

Good luck.

I recently found a round article on subject stock vs. futures here: 14 Differences Between Stocks & Futures.

Clearing reliability, taxation the Pdt rules makes futures much more interesting for small retail traders, IMO.

I know most people will say futures are much more difficult and if you aren't successful with stocks you shouldn't try for futures.

Has anyone had success with futures after not being very successful trading equities?

i think that`s about me talking ...seriously i`m just trading futures and very well going ..following one or two futures ...3 max every day ...already 1 year ..are like my children that`s i have to take care of theme ... i know them and all environment surround them ..so it`s comfortable ...but now the most people say for me that oooo stocks more profitable and ......BUT for me every day switch from one to 10 and more stocks and so on every day .....no no no sure i think not for me..as i say i think because i not tried and i have no experience in stocks..so here i have directly questions :

really stocks better than futures ...
for a small account can trader make a good gains in stocks than futures ......here i`m talking for full- time day trader as i`m ..
