can I please call someone to ask a few questions about futures?
They are a base to start understanding. They are very critical books that have their own opinions on what works and what doesn't work.
In my opinion. The most important part of trading is your own psychology. Many traders have had fantastic trading plans in their hands, capable of making them rich. Their downfall was only between themselves and their lack of discipline. They let their emotions get in the way. We all suffer from the pain of a losing trade, and this effects us.
I often use the "Turtle Trading" story as an example here.
I think that these basic books would help the original poster because, from the original questions, he needs a very basic explanation of everything.
From this, start branching off into other learning resources. As sledmt said above, a mentor/friends who trade can be very useful. The only problem is that you will most likely never find someone in your own personal group that you should listen to.
Trading is a rare skill that, to find others, you have to go outside of your current social circle to find. This is why a forum is a fantastic resource.
P.S. My eBook "A thousand ways to make a million dollars overnight in over-leveraged penny-stocks" is better then all of those Plus it's only 1 page long!
Hello,
Hoping to get some feedback. I am new to this forum.
I am considering joining this group but asked to see posted results of their performance.
this is the reply. What would you do? Thanks for your help.
Hi Joe
Thanks for your email.
No records of trades are made public. This is because it is illegal to publish trades in the USA. (I know some companies do it, but they shouldn't). At end of day results spreadsheets means very little, where as talking to real members or seeing the trading room for yourself is where you find the genuine information. Beside that, Greg is member of the trading board and his actions as a educator are very closely monitored. For example, only the other day he posted a testimonial with a delighted member mentioning how pleased they were with their results. As the testimonial mentioned results, Greg was asked from the governing body to remove the testimonial from the public website. So unfortunately we cannot post past trades. Trust me, it would be in our best interest to post results. I have been with TTZ for over 18 moths now, and never seen a losing month. As you have seen, they keep risk tight and often take 20-50 tick trades in the opening 60 mins..
There is a reason why The Trading Zone has been one of the top educators for the last 14 years. We do everything in a very transparent way and also stick to the rules of the NFA. Gator has been a member of the Chicago Board of Trade for 22 years. He has made his living as a trader. The trades called in the room are TTZ setups which correlate with Market Profile, understanding market flow and momentum. Everything we do is for the best of our members. There is a reason why we have over 200+ people in our room every morning (and over 96% are members). What this tells you is our traders learn to become successful or that number would quickly fall off.
At the moment we are offering lifetime membership for $2699 (nothing more to pay forever, some members have been with us 5 or 10 years). This is amazing value, and this promo is nearly done. Leading up to the end of year, we started with 5 memberships for this price and two sold last week. We expect the remaining three to go this week. Either way the $2699 lifetime membership will sell out this month. It is up to if you want to take action.
I know most educators start at $3000 plus you will pay monthly fees on top of that (means real cost is around $5000). Ask any successful trader what was it that made them successful. They don't rely on indicators and they learn to understand the markets in real time. Market Profile teaches you about how the market moves, it has changed my trading career, my confidence is sky high, and I am so grateful for Gator, Greg and the info. These guys will go to all lengths for you. Gator often spends 60-90 min with new members making sure they get started properly. The guy is an amazing trader and has an amazing heart. You wont meet a more genuine person, and guests see that straight away
Myself and many happy members can honestly say the TTZ education is one of the best going around. $2699 for lifetime membership covers all your tuition, support and trading guidance. Pay now and be done. Stick with TTZ for as long as you need.
