the elderly and those with chronic health conditions: sick patients over 80 are particularly at risk for devastating side effects.
Thus for this vulnerable demographic which is currently first in line in North America, the "cure" could be worse than the disease. Bloomberg notes that it's "the most cautious statement yet from a European health authority" regarding potential adverse vaccine health risks.
"For those with the most severe frailty, even relatively mild vaccine side effects can have serious consequences," the Norwegian Institute of Public Health said.
This comes after a handful of global cases, including an elderly patient in France, where a recipient died within hours of receiving their first-round of the vaccine.
Thus far Norway says it has administered doses to up to 33,000 people, including the elderly, but are already finding it "too risky" for the terminally ill and people over 80 that are in frail condition. Given only 33,000 injected so far, the reported death count is already staggering and is causing officials to sound the alarm:
Norwegian officials said 23 people had died in the country a short time after receiving their first dose of the vaccine. Of those deaths, 13 have so far been autopsied, with the results suggesting that common side effects may have contributed to severe reactions in frail, elderly people, according to the Norwegian Medicines Agency.
Just to add a different insight along the same line as your link, my neighbor who grew up on a ranch in Wyoming, would go see his veterinary if he had a medical issue!
Doctors are good for trauma care. I don't go to them for HEALTH care.
I can just go out to the barn now and get my Ivermectin off the shelf..... Seriously!
I very much dislike the path this thread has taken.
It started with valuable factual information, civil debate and discourse... but has turned into far edge theories and now features unproven medical "remedies".
As traders, everyone should know correlation and causation are two different things.
When you have more than 125k members in a community, you are going to have many different opinions and it will be impossible to make everyone happy. However, I have to follow my gut and do what I believe is right, and what I think will help the majority of members in our community.
To that end, I want you to know that I have asked @aquarian1 to stop posting in this thread. I have also asked him to stop posting about COVID entirely on the forum. He is welcome to continue posting in his other threads.
This decision was not made lightly. I hope he, and everyone else, respects the decision -- even if they do not agree with it. I ask for respect because everyone is here at my invitation. My house, my rules. That said, I created the house to help everyone as much as possible. I cannot stand by and allow something to continue when it goes against what I believe in and what I believe the majority of members believe in, especially in the case where it could cause harm. So please take that to heart whenever you are forming your opinion about my decision.
India has kicked off its phase one of rolling out 30cr vaccines. (300 Million).
This phase is started with the front line workers and will likely take couple of months to get over with. While I don't have specifics atm, its vaccine in multiple dosages, so it will likely be long term plan.
I am not clear what fringe "remedies" you are referring to but if it is Ivermectin then perhaps you have not watched the video of the doctor who represented a team of pulmonary specialists (over 80 experts) citing 2,000 peer review papers, published by pulmonary specialists.
It all about the money.

He lamented the needless deaths. He requested to congress that NIH review the literature and an I understand that NIH has and approved it.

To bring this back to trading (I trade the ES), what are the scenarios looking ahead?
It appears that the UK and the US will be on course to have vaccinated over 50% of their populations by June (approximate figures and dates).
I would assume the West in general will be about the same.
So considering what Biden is planning to do for spending, what are people thinking will happen to markets in the next year or so assuming the threat of Covid subsides? Will they keep going up (don't fight the Fed) or will something else come into play?
To answer you directly, I have not. The intention was to shed something a little more light hearted on this issue.
Personally, the chances of me having to take a remedy is as likely of me winning the Mega Millions Jackpot.
Seriously, when 99.99 percent of all people (not counting the infirm and the at risk elderly) are unaffected by this flu, I don't give it a second thought.
I just love the fact that the numbers are on my side.
If I knew even 1 person in my town of 30k, I might dig into the dosage if they were interested.
