I’ve written and continue to write auto-trading systems for NinjaTrader. I’ve been trading in this way since early 2013. I will be posting signals to this journal from my systems.
I'm using ChartMinder from ratfink to post my charts automatically whenever an execution occurs.
Just starting this thread as a placeholder so as I make progress on this I can update the thread. It will be a while as I've been sick for a while now, and am quite behind on other things like emails and PM's.
My first trade journal trade is already in progress. I went long the day before the employment report ( always a knee knocker ). It's working so far. This is a 30 minute chart. A view a of a daily chart clearly shows we've been in a trading range and we're now at the top of it. My system does not want to sell, so I stay long. At some point price must break out of the range and in the moment before it does it will be on that edge of it.
