I would like to start a trading journal on your site. I've been reading through some of the threads here and think I'm in the right place for what I'm doing. I've been studying the markets a few years now and have begun to intra day trade the YM. Nothing fancy here, very basic methodology, I learned from an online trading course, using a dual chart setup, 133t and 400t charts on the TOS platform. This is my second post in the forum so I'll need three more before posting charts. I'll follow up with a trade plan. Thanks,
I'll be trading the YM 9:30-4:15est using a 1:3 ratio in time frames. With TOS this will be a 133t setup chart and a 400t confirmation chart, using stochastic, macd, and a 50sma on both charts. I'll be looking to take the first and second retraces in the trend as defined by the slope of the 50sma on the 133t, looking for confluence of topping and bottoming patterns in both time frames. You'll be able to see better than I can explain. I'll post charts when I get my five post in.
passed on 3rd retrace, 4th retrace usually don't take either but close to 50% retrace of a.m. move, anticipated macd & stoch rollover in higher timeframe, stopped out, clearly against the rules
