This Thursday is the 80th anniversary of the 1929 crash. PBS has been running some great documentaries on the late 1920s, 1930s, Hoover and FDR, etc. You can watch "The Crash of 1929" online at pbs.org. They interviewed many relatives of the power brokers of the time (e.g., Jesse Livermore) or people that were there as lowly floor clerks when it happened.
