For my own research, I needed a CSV file with all economic events/news from 2007 to 2011.
With specific download and parsing routines, I have generated one from the data available in Forex Factory's economic calendar: Forex Calendar @ Forex Factory (
I am pleased to share it here in case it may help others.
For an easier use, there are actually 2 files:
ForexFactory_EconomicEvents_2007-2011.txt with all 19,502 events with a specific time in the day
ForexFactory_Holidays_2007-2011.txt with all 797 events valid "All Day" (often: holidays)
Time is GMT-5 (Est).
Let's take the example of October 3rd and 4th, 2009.
