Hi,

I currently use MT4 to trade price action (FX) and would like to get up to speed on Ninja trader so I can experiment with range bars and if at all possible backtest CL as per the Big Mike Price action thread. I would appreciate a little guidance re the following:

- I downloaded the NT7 demo; can I access CL data with this for discretionary bar by bar backtesting?

many thanks

Yes. Do a search for Market Replay and also read the help file.

Some tricks.

You can only download data for one day at a time unless you take a look at the "Market Replay Users Unite" thread.

So, pick a day, go to File--> Utilities --> Replay Data

Make sure you have the instrument in the instruments panel.

Then select the date and go. Then go to file, connect, market replay connection and then in the little box select the date you wish to use.

Then hit the play button... Remember that the timezone that Ninja uses is local to YOU and not GMT or anything like MT4.

Good luck!
