I'm looking for a way to have continuously export to CSV files from NinjaTrader for many instruments and multiple timeframes (let's say Daily, 240-min, 60-min, 15-min, 5-min, 1-min) and have them updated on a 5-second basis. I think it would be very nice to use if you want to analyze data in some other platform.
In the past, I had that from Interactive Brokers using jTWSdata, but now as I don't use IB as broker, I am stucked with this issue.
NT7 is really good for all my needs, except this.
I saw some possibilities using a simple strategy, but in order to have multiple instruments and multiple timeframes, would be very resource-consuming to have let's say 20 charts opened for csv export and other 6-7 for normal usage and also I don't know if you can use 20 strategies.
Any help would be appreciated,
Sorin
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
All – I got a bunch of data off this forum yesterday which I will be using to do some probability analysis of some of the setups I use. This is excellent stuff and in return I would like to give something back.
I've read this thread and the others related to my subject on nexusfi.com (formerly BMT).
In this thread Ninja is linked to Excel only.
In fact, what I need is some plain CSV text files, comma delimited, for different timeframes updated live from some NT7 indicator or strategy. I didn't found that yet on this forum or some others and I'm looking for that from some months.
I don't know that you can get where you want to go as indeed it sounds like a significant resource hog to get there. How about we look at the other end, what analysis are you doing on the other platform that could not be done in Ninja?
