my charting environment is running in a VMWare VM and everything runs fine except when switching into the "seamless" unity mode. Often a few charts are disappearing from the screen but are still listed in the taskbar without a caption. The only way to bring them back is to localize the old window position and grab the window on the (hidden) titlebar and shake the mouse cursor a little but.
I've tried to grab the windows per own build software tool and update the visibility, position and z-order - with no success. It seems that the unity mode breaks some default behavior when using it with Ninjatrader. If i can't find an solution for my problem i have to drop my current charting setup.
Are there any users with the same environment willing to share their experiences?

Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Thanks for your reply. "NT" means Ninjatrader not "Windows NT". I haven't ask'ed Ninjatrader yet, because i'm tired of hearing the answer "Not supported" or "Don't know".
I believe it is because of the way charts are drawn in NinjaTrader. I've had similar "weird anomaly" problems with NT for over 5 years and spanned across multiple PC's, different hardware, OS's, etc -- only thing in common was NT.
I think aside from messing with the graphic card settings in the VM, you probably just have to wait for NT8 and hope that the new WPF that replaces WinForms solves the issue.
You should also make sure you are on the latest version of VMWare.
Also, you could try VirtualBox. It's free and is an entirely different code base, and may work differently.
I use NinjaTrader primarily in Parallels and haven't noticed any issues. I've only used it briefly in their version of 'unity' called 'coherence' though as I generally just leave the desktop as normal and switch between the two using Spaces. However, I haven't noticed any charts disappearing or anything similar when I actually have used the coherence mode.
