I did a good bit of research a few years back on using hydrogen in a gasoline engine to boost the gas mileage. Even built a system for my Dodge Ram with a Hemi. Spent about $500 to buy all the parts. I got far enough to believe that it could work but in order to stabilize my system I needed to buy a computer for my truck. There was no guarantee it would work and it was about $500 to buy the computer, if memory serves correctly. I've kept up with this "technology" a bit over the time since then and see that progress is being made in the private sector but wondering if anyone has personal experience. My intent is not to discuss the pros and cons because there are a lot of naysayers. But as I said I want to find out if anyone has any personal experience and what your experience is.

It was well over 20 mpg but don't remember for sure what it was. My wife seems to think it was 29 but I just can't remember for sure. I was unable to keep it stable enough to keep that going. The truck's computer kept "fixing" things which caused the mileage to revert to the norm. I am wanting to try it again with one of the off the shelf products but just not sure if I want to spend the money. The problem with this technology is there are a lot of people making claims but very hard to substantiate it for myself. Would be nice if I knew someone personally who has tried one of the products.
