I have just as recently as last night, learned about and researched " Digital Currency " , and the fact that it can be traded, really caught my attention.

I was wondering if other members on here, could shed some light, on their expierence trading.... Bitcoin, DogEcoin, Lifecoin, etc....

If they use Coin Base as their E-Wallet ( US residents )

And what exchange is the most efficient, and trustworthy.... ( Mt. Gox, Kraken, etc... )?

As I mentioned, I am brand new to this type of trading, and just want to get some insight and help getting started in Investing in these various Digital Currencies.

And also, can you trade ( Day Trade ) these on platforms such as Ninja Trader, Think or Swim ?
Or do you have to sign up with an exchange that specifically caters to Digital Currency.

Thanks much, I really appreciate it - Michael

I guess that depends on your definition on "traded". Yes you can speculate on the rise of Bitcoin by BUYING it, and if you have already bought it you can try and "pick a top" by selling it, but no you can't really trade it as there is currently no way to short it.

You have to sign up to a specific exchange such as My Gox. Even so this is like going to the currency kiosk at the airport as opposed to trading in the FX markets.

You can short it on Bitfinex and Kraken. You can also trade binary options on it, thus technically shorting it...
