Could someone who has recently started using SC please give some advice. I'd ask Sierra Charts Support, but can't until I activate my account, but don't want to do that right now since I already downloaded the program, but don't want to start the Free Trial yet.

I see now they have a 15 Day Trial. So when that 15 days are over, do they start taking out monthly payments automatically? Or is there something I do to start the payments? I'm kind of in a bind here because I wanted the payments to start at the end of the month - thought the Free Trial was 30 days - but now if I start my Free Trial, it would end on the 19th. So maybe I could start the Free Trial, but don't pay until the end of the month. Is this possible?

SC does not take payments automatically. 3-4 before your usage time is up they send you a notice that you are approaching the end of the paid time and then you have to pay for the next month.

Yes, when your Free Trial is up you can wait until the end of the month to purchase a month's usage. You can see the statement below at https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/Packages.php

"When your free trial or paid usage time has ended, you will automatically be placed in FREE mode. You will only have access to Standard Features. This mode can be used for study and system development."

you have to make payment yourself there is no automatic charge, no recurring charges. The license just simply expires until you make the next payment.

Yes as others have said, you will get a notification 3-4 days before the end of your trial to let you know that it will be ending soon. At the end of the trial period it simply ends. It is then up to you to go to their website and choose a package (1-5) and begin payments.

So you may as well start the trial immediately and then just wait till the end of the month or whenever you want to if you decide to sign up.
