I am looking for a MACD indicator that will color background (of indicator) RED when first line crosses below Zero and GREEN when first line crosses above the zero line. Thought that would be easy to find but ...... Thanks
Hey guys, I thought many of you would enjoy and benefit from this thread. My intention is to have each poster reply and describe in as much detail as possible an indicator they want created for NinjaTrader.
A lot of people like this version created by @FatTails, it can be configured to do just about anything you can think of with an MACD plot... MACD BB Lines V3
Modified the MACD awhile back for someone else. It has the ability to color the background based on the cross of the MACD over the Average line (Agressive = true)....or the cross of the MACD over the Zero line (Agressive = false). There are some other features, too.
I've been playing around with modifying a few of the indicators to customise the colours to make them pop out a little and also to modify the inputs e.g., for MACD to change the type of the MA used to reduce the lag. Its more for education than anything else, but I'd recommend trying that to anyone as well as searching for ready made indicators. Plus of course there are a lot of experienced developers on here (from the posts I've been on).
