A big hello to everyone here. I'm in Canada and been trading for 10years or so now. I trade stocks mostly and just recently got into Options as well.

I have a full time job still and hope one day to be successful enough to be able to do trading full time effectively.

For the first 8 yrs of my trading, I was basically guessing. Perhaps due to the markets doing pretty good, my returns were decent. But like every beginner, 2 or 3 bad trades will wipe out almost everything. So I don't have much to show for after 8yrs in my trading account. My mutual funds didn't get too great a returns either, but I guess at least their were positive.

So after that, I decided i better get an education. I found Online Trading Academy. Now I haven't read any reviews here on OTA yet, so hope its okay for me to tell everyone that I'm a graduate.

The thing I liked about it to join wa it was a live real building and classroom. I don't trust those online only courses, or weekend seminars that go away afterwards. OTA's demand and supply core strategy does work. They have teachers and counsellors at their office every day, and I rely on them a lot. I also paid for their online as well. So I get to watch live or recordings from many months. There's never enough tmie to watch all of them.

After taking OTA, and using their rules and method, I'm happy to say my trading has improved a lot. I still lose but they are small. As we all know, the only obstacle to trading success is ourselves.

So far in 2014, my trading account returns is about 30%. These are all completed trades. I only have 2 longer term positions open right now, both profiting and I'm using a long term method to manage those.

Now I have had some bigger losess, but that's because I did not follow what OTA taught us, which is do not trade around earnings. I sold a put before earnings due to the juicy premiums and it gapped lower. Stupid me.

I track all my trades in a log now and I am more disciplined. I moved from consistently losing to consistently breaking even. I think I'm moving out of that into consistently profiting.

Okay, long enough intro, nice to meet you all.
