I am a permabear and I have been addicted to Zerohedge for 2 years now .

I desperately need an antidote and get some bullishness.

I am looking for a healthier alternative than CNBC.

Any suggestions?

I'm a permabull, but still read ZH frequently. They have some good insight here and there, but you just need to tone down the end of the world scenarios by about 100. That, and their fetish with physical gold.

I also think there is a good chance ZH is secretly funded by the banks, to trick people into being bears. Someone's got to take the other side.

But yes -- I thanked your post because I also wish there was an alternative news source with the same type of "journalism" but just neutral on their interpretation and without the doom and gloom. Unfortunately, I don't know of any.

I visit CNBC's website maybe once every month if I am really bored. I never watch CNBC or Bloomberg on TV.

It is a sad state of American journalism when I have to watch Al Jazeera to get an outside opinion on something...

I agree, they are neutral and have good journalism stories unlike pretty much any other "news" outlet today. And because American's are close minded and brainwashed, if you mention to anyone you watch Al Jazeera, there is a good chance they will report you to the FBI as a terrorist...

Unfortunately, I don't have access to watch them anymore. No satellite in this house, no live TV of any kind in this house. Only internet.

But they don't really have a financial desk to my knowledge. However, RT ( RT) is not bad for financial news now that I think of it. But still nothing compared to ZH.

I am sure the NSA has it logged somewhere of my viewing habits. Now that I typed that, I am kinda scared...

Amen to that bother.

And I'm curious, what you guys think of the Financial Times?

Personally I get most of my news from FT, Universities, Twitter, and Reuters. Another I've gotten into recently is some of Tom Sosnoff's Tasytrade clips since they discuss things such as the masses irrationality and it's effect on the world.

Keep things complex. But not more complex then they need to be.

I like RT news in general and will begin to pay attention to their financial coverage too.

I will make sure my VPN is ON before I browse

Al jazeera? Thanks, but no thanks.

I talked with a person who wrote financial articles and he said that as a rule they respond to what happened with a "guess" and imagine the rest from there, based on what the rest of the news industry is saying. Most of the resources reference one another and may become a self fulfilling prophecy but it would seem difficult or impossible to glean useful information given this premise to begin with...

But guessing at reality is what we all inherently do. I've never been to Germany, but my "guess", is that it exists. So how can we tell a "guess" from an objective truth?

If you were dreaming right now, how would you know?
