Can programming do this in NT?

I have little programming knowledge but am willing to learn. I have looked around at the basics and am wondering if my current desire is even programmable.

What I would like to do is draw a triangle, and then do some math with the anchors of that triangle and the dates of those bars, and output a target date in the future or number of bars in the future, based on the calculation.

Could use the anchors as drawn, or as they would be highs or lows, could identify high of bar X, date of bar X, etc.

So I'm wondering if this can even be done. Most of what I see about programming is studies over time, etc, that constantly update, rather than identifying three points on the chart and working with them.

Currently I do this by hand, entering the anchors and the dates or ticks into a spreadsheet by hand to get the output target date. Would like to reduce the time involved when I am doing many of these calculations.

There is a simple rule: If you know and understand the math behind what you are doing, it is programmable.
If you can't even describe the math ex ante, it's nothing but self-delusion and mumbo-jumbo.

Well I understand the math well enough to use it in a spreadsheet. I guess what I'm asking is: Can you tell NT to look at three and only three data points and their dates, and output a single date beyond the current date on the chart.

All the beginner tutorials I have looked at seem to focus on rolling data analysis.

If "I understand the math well enough to use it in a spreadsheet" also includes the algorithmic way how the anchor dates are picked, the answer is yes.

SierraChart has built-in speadsheet. If you are good with speadsheet check it out.
