I have just started using TWS. The very first thing that hits me is that I need to drag the y-axis.

I have been in contact with support and they can't tell me of any way to do this.

To me the auto-scaling of the y-axis is horrible and during my technical analysis, I use the mouse all the time to zoom in and out (or you could say change the amplitude) of the y-axis.

Can anyone here inform me on how to do this? It can't be that it is not an option in TWS right?

Hey, there's a slider on the left side of your chart and you can use that to resize the Y axis and move around the Y-axis. Click on the lock icon to reset it to default Y-axis auto scaling. Hope this helps!
