Sharing my new volume profile setup.

I couldnt work out how to do this in NinjaTrader about a year back, but revisited it today.

I done 3 Timezones, 3 Shades of Purple.

Asian to Europe - 19:00 to 02:00
Europe to Emini Open - 02:00 to 08:30
Emini Open - 08:30 to 14:00

Not sure if i should use the Emini Open or USA Open?!

Here's how it looks.

I'm on PST and the eMini day session is 0630 to 1300 here. That corresponds to NYSE hours.
You have your day session 0830 to 1400 which is an hour short but maybe you don't trade the last hour.

Beginning the day session at 0830 is CST. That's Chicago, Dallas, Kansas City, etc...
That's what you're looking for? Do you have NT8 set to different time zone from UK local time?

I concur with JohnnyMustard that your times are not correct for the US session, which is 9:30am to 14:00 EST. I would suggest using the US RTH session open which is when the NY traders and big money get involved. This is quite apparent when one compares the volume traded for each of the sessions.

I like the dividing of the volume profile into three sessions and will be doing the same instead of using the RTH and ETH sessions. Thank you for sharing!

Pivot Point Guy

Yes, you are correct.

I actually done my times in EST, but I based the on this drawing.

I've used the 'Green' opens, rather than the 'Blue' Sessions.

I think I might change it to the sessions as suggested.

With regards to the timezones, it kinda confuses me a bit.

CME ES official timezone inside NinjaTrader Templace is ESt (-6)

But CME is Chicago based which is CST (-5)

So I don't know why the NT Time Template shows open at 830 AM EST

PPG, the US day session is 0930 to 1600 EST. That's 930am to 4pm. 0930 to 1400 is 930am to 2pm.
If you wanted to avoid the final 2 hours of the day, that's fine but the full session is 0930 to 1600 EST.

I assume you meant 0730 to 1400 for your MST. I'm sure you know that you start trading at 0730 instead of 0930.
I think there was a typo?

The UK is 5 hours ahead of New York,
The NYSE is open from 930 am to 4pm New York time.
So in the UK that equates to 230pm to 9pm.

The UK is 6 hours ahead of Chicago.
The NYSE is open from 0830 to 3pm Chicago time.
So in the UK that equates to 230pm to 9pm.

Does that help at all?

Oh my god!! Why wouldn't we all do it the same day?
In the US we changed clocks 3 weeks ago.
This is the first I've heard that different countries do it on different days.

Yeah, I get the timezones.

I trade from 3 timezones, GMT, GMT +4 and GMT+7

But I leave my laptop fixed on EST and Ninja fixed on EST.
It never auto updates or changes.

For my charts the volume always comes in at 830am.

Not sure where this hour of ambiguity comes from 😂😂😂

***I just checked my charts and actually they are fine.
My futures start at 830 AM, which is pit open, and the highest volume candle, the start of the move.
Not NYSE open. This is not what I want. This is not what starts the day off, or where I want my IB or profile calculated from.

If I check a a US stock, like AAPL, I see that everything kicks off from 930am,which is NYSE open.
