I searched but didn’t find anything on people’s daily morning routines. It’s an important aspect to my productivity that day and has been thrown off by insomnia.
I’m interested in anyone else’s routines or comments on my shortcomings.

Planned morning routine in order of execution:
· Shower
· Review of chart patterns and news notes
· Organization of trading display / order size cheat sheet
· Getting small servings of food ready to eat at the desk every two hours
· 20 minutes of meditation

Short comings:
I’m only sleeping every other day... Showers aren’t at the same time daily and no meditation at all. My “meditation” is just sitting naturally at the desk chair, eyes closed, trying to concentrate only on breathing slowly and deeply. Transcendental Meditation is supposed to be better.

Recourses:

Start:
· Stay lying in bed even if unable to sleep and not researching/trading
· Meditating even if it’s not at the same times
· Start lifting again (not easy: was an amateur bodybuilder for three years and go at it like a fiend)

Stop:
Taking the low doses of Adderall. Sounds like a no brainer, but helped a lot in the past and could sleep then. Don’t think I would have graduated HS and college with high honors without it and the poker play was better.

Obstacles:
I’m hesitant to change anything now with silver moving like it is and still being profitable. It will take over 6 months to get into decent shape and I kill myself in the gym.

Im a swing trader so sitting at the desk for more than 30 min. at a time is unnecessary for me . I do have a routine I follow religiously everyday . I make myself available every 4 hours to enter , exit or add positions . I too meditate and find it keeps me balanced and able to focus clearly . I meditate when its as quiet as possible at home , where my office is , so I learned to flow with my surroundings . I tried trading during RTH and sitting through those sessions and found it didnt work for me - too much like a job . Swing trading is what works for me and I do better setting up trades and walking away then check on them later on .
