Welcome to Big Mike's Trading Forum.

Welcome, Guest!

This forum was established to help traders by openly sharing indicators, strategies, methods, trading journals and discussing the psychology of trading.

BMT is fundamentally different than most other trading forums:
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive on our forums.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendor advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in openness and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, it is not something tangible you can download.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community. It's free and simple, and we will never resell your private information.

Yes, two things need to happen.

1. I need to let go of the fact that 99% of 'successful traders' are actually vendors. haha.... And, be ok with it.

2. We need regulatory change. (I hate more government) The 'educators' need to be 'stopped out'.

I think as for #2, the People can educate themselves. This thread for example can educate someone.

Mike

Due to time constraints, please do not PM me if your question can be resolved or answered on the forum.

Need help?
1) Stop changing things. No new indicators, charts, or methods. Be consistent with what is in front of you first.
2) Start a journal and post to it daily with the trades you made to show your strengths and weaknesses.
3) Set goals for yourself to reach daily. Make them about how you trade, not how much money you make.
4) Accept responsibility for your actions. Stop looking elsewhere to explain away poor performance.
5) Where to start as a trader? Watch this webinar and read this thread for hundreds of questions and answers.
6)

Tiberius,

Three is newer version of this indicator for NT7 by Snaphook. Not sure if its here but you can certainly find it on Ninja forum. It works great, but then again even Woodie does not trade the WCCI anymore.

Thanks aligator, you are correct. Happy Thanksgiving

not sure what's what with the indies

Has woodie stopped trading CCI's then? uhm I wonder

Check out RJAY's Renko Hybrid as a much better alternative and you can get a free trial, you can't get that at Mr. woodie

A little pity push from MicroTrends. Every one of those indicators was taken from others and packaged as ....bars. Shame on them.

Current BMT User Poll

Should sim traders that pretend to trade cash be allowed on BMT?

Yes, but what % do you think it will affect? That is great, and I hope it places high on the search engines!

I find as I do more business how little I actually understood as to what is true 'business' and what is just ripping someone off without telling them. Sorry for being a Negative-Nancy, but these people need to be put to rest....

Well, my curiosity got the best of me, and I bought a month in the room. It was amazing. It is kind of like dealing with the airlines. There is a constant push by the mods to use PFG for a broker. There is a guy who will teach you how to use the Woodie stuff for $60/hour. There is another lady who teaches head stuff for a fee and the mods are pushing people to her.

They are so secretive about their new charts and strategy that they are afraid to say anything helpful. When asked which one of the setups works best, "....Woodie won't let us say". When asked about stops and targets, "....you have to figure that out for yourself". When asked for some place to study and read about the new charts, "....Woodie will not allow any written material on his new stuff".

I give up. Don't they know that if you put this stuff out there in any form, it is no longer a secret? They only thing they accomplish is making it harder for the people who pay.

My advice, don't waste your time or money. Just my humble opinion.

Hi deanoky,

I can confirm all of that.
It is a tragedy!

Over the years ken wood and his doodle PFG Niel - his Broker - have hurt a lot of people.
Ken Wood is an ego-manic. All he does must be seen in this light.

(nontheless I met wonderful people & trader there - no thanks to woodie and most of them left already )

here is a screenshot of today:

Little known fact, I know an instructor at Colorado Springs who told me the US Airforce has started using that template to screen jet fighter candidates, sound logic being if you can decipher that template then the instrument panel on a jet fighter will present no real challenge to you.

Vegas,

Next, he will take credit for his template as the control system used by Air Force to fly F-19s
